Urban Digital Literacy Course

Digital literacy
Digital literacy is a must for the 21st century. This is what allows us to comfortably receive services, learn, communicate, shop and so on. And this is probably our main area of work. Because if we don’t empower residents to improve their digital skills, all of our projects will be wasted.

In September 2020, we launched the first stream of the City Digital Literacy Course. It aims to bridge the digital divide in the use of digital technologies and is based on 3 principles:

— Availability — the course is free, you can visit it in each area according to the schedule and pre-registration
— Customer focus — there is mentoring support for students, the opportunity to get advice
— Humanity — the course system is constantly being improved to meet the needs of students

We started two directions: "Computer from scratch" and "Smartphone from scratch". Also, in the online format, we launched a course in the direction: "Google account and its capabilities."

The course can be taken on the basis of 29 libraries of the city. In each area, there is no need to travel far and no complications. Digital is the future and it is important for us to be on the wave of the times.
